Est. 1962
Carolina Friends School is a Quaker independent school in Durham, NC. Founded in 1962, CFS provides a PreK–12 education grounded in the belief that there is “that of God” in every person — that each child holds inherent worth and potential.
Our performing arts program invites students to find their authentic voices on stage and in life. High School Musical is a celebration of everything this community stands for: courage, genuine connection, and the joy of showing up fully as yourself.
Everyone belongs here. We build a school family that celebrates each person's unique gifts and encourages genuine connection across differences.
We speak truth and act with honesty — on stage, in class, and in all of life. Authenticity and trust are at the core of who we are.
The arts are essential to learning at CFS. We believe imagination and expression are as vital as any academic pursuit — not an add-on but a foundation.
Every voice deserves to be heard. We are deeply committed to equity, inclusion, and genuine respect for every member of our community.
